May is a busy month in the library as Mrs. Blouin prepares for her last day on Friday, May 25. The last week to check out books will be May 7-11. As an incentive to return your books on time there will be a poster raffle! All library books must be returned by Thursday, May 24 to be entered in the draw. Winners will be announced the following morning.
The Earth Day book exchange was a lot of fun! Thank you for participating in this annual recycling initiative!
The winner of the Young Reader’s Choice Awards (YRCA) is *drum roll* Roller Girl by Victoria Jamieson! Check it out if you haven’t already!
The library will be hosting two events this month. The first is an author visit by Charlene M. Cavers. Charlene will be sharing her book Maddy the Dragonslayer with Grades 1 and 2 on Friday, May 4. Also, the Fort Saskatchewan Public Library will be returning to talk to Grades 2-6 about all of the super sweet programs they have planned this summer! If you are interested in signing up for a free FSPL card you can pick up a form in the library.
As this is my last month at FSE before taking my maternity leave I want to thank you all for another excellent and exciting year. Mrs. Grant will do an outstanding job running the library and helping you all find the perfect story to read while I’m away. I will miss you all and will be sure to visit! Have a fantastic summer and as always keep on reading!
