The Seven Sacred Teachings are values based on First Nations cultural tradition. Each teaching is represented by a different animal and are positive guiding principles in our everyday lives.
At Fort Saskatchewan Elementary, we have threaded the Seven Sacred Teachings into character building and have developed a positive reinforcement model based on its traits of love, honesty, respect, humility, courage, truth and wisdom. As a school community, we focus on and explore new traits throughout the course of the school year, often building our school-wide assemblies around these values.
